Download PDFPreheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4.
Grease and line a 20cm square baking tin.
Core and dice the apples (such as Bramley).
Combine the diced apples, coffee grounds and water in a small pot, place over a medium heat and cook for 5 minutes or until the apples are soft.
Blend until smooth and creamy and return to the pot.
Break the chocolate into pieces and add to the pot. Stir until it has melted.
Add the rest of the ingredients, mixing until thoroughly combined.
Pour into the lined baking tin, sprinkle with the salt flakes and bake for 25 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave inside for 5 minutes.
Set aside to cool before serving.
TOP TIP: This is best made with used coffee grounds from the same day; if you use a plunger and are worried the texture of the grounds is a little rough, place them into the blender with the cooked apples and blend until fine.
