Tomato pickle

- Make a slit halfway down each tomato from the stem end and fill with the salt.
- Arrange the salted tomatoes in a colander with a bowl underneath to catch any liquid and allow to stand.
- Drain the tomatoes well.
- Combine the spices and sprinkle the mixture into each tomato.
- Place the spiced tomatoes into sterilized jars, adding the garlic cloves as you go and fill the jars with the vinegar.
- Seal the jars well and allow to stand for 1 week before opening.
