Texas BBQ sauce

  1. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over a medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until the onion is soft and translucent. Add the tomato paste and cook for 2-3 minutes before adding the remaining ingredients to the pan at the same time. Bring the sauce to a gentle boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once done, remove from the heat and allow the sauce to cool.
  3. Using an immersion blender, blitz the sauce until completely smooth.
  4. Store in the fridge for upto 2 weeks.
