Sesame meatballs with tahini and basil sauce

  1. To prepare the meatballs, mix together the cooked quinoa, minced turkey or chicken, egg, garlic and all the spices. Season with salt and pepper. Form into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  2. Roll the meatballs in the sesame seeds and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil in a fryer to 180°C.
  4. Fry the sesame-coated meatballs until browned and cooked through – about 5-8 minutes.
  5. To make the tahini sauce, combine all the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and mix until smooth.
  6. Serve the meatballs with the tahini sauce and fresh basil.
