Download PDFFinely chop the onion and crush the garlic. Place any roasting pan that you've roasted vegetables or meat in over a medium heat and add 2 tbsp of the chopped onions, garlic, thyme and bay leaf.
Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
Add the water and deglaze the pan, scraping off all the bits from the bottom.
Add the miso and black pepper.
Strain into a jug and serve immediately.
