Mini sloppy Joe sliders

- Melt the butter in a large pot over a medium heat.
- Add the mince to the pot and season. Break up the meat using a wooden spoon, make sure it’s as fine as possible.
- Sauté until the meat starts to brown.
- Add the finely chopped celery, carrots, onion and garlic clove and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the water and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the salt and a pinch of nutmeg.
- Add in the tin of chopped tomatoes and bay leaves.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 45 minutes or until the sauce thickens and the mince is tender.
- Discard the bay leaves and adjust the seasoning.
- Spoon the warm Bolognese onto the bottom halves of the slider buns. Replace the tops and serve.
