Details

All Tegel's chickens and turkeys are locally farmed in New Zealand, in world-class conditions for raising poultry. The use of growth hormones is not permitted in New Zealand and the chickens and turkeys are not genetically modified in any way.

Preparation Guidelines

If frozen, completely thaw in refrigerator before cooking. Remove turkey from both bags and cook in preheated oven at 160ºC for the time as follows: 4.5kg - 185min; 5kg - 195min; 5.5kg - 205min; 6kg - 215min; 6.5kg - 225min. Once cooked, remove from oven and allow 15 minutes to rest before carving. Turkey should be fully cooked when the internal temperature reached 82ºC in the thickest part of the bird and juices run clear.
