One-pot rice
Asian 10 Mins Prep
- Pour the stock into a pot and place over a medium-low heat.
- Using a damp towel, wipe down the kombu then add to the stock. Simmer for 2 hours. After 2 hours, bring to a boil then reduce the heat to the lowest setting and cover for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and add bonito flakes. Set aside until ready to use.
- Bring the broth to a boil. Add the rice and vegetables or protein chopped into bite-size pieces. Reduce the heat until the water evaporates, approx. 6-7 minutes.
- Finish with a drizzle of soya sauce or tamari.
