The launch of Harvest Heroes is the latest pillar in the Spinneys Farm to Table programme – the region’s first comprehensive healthy eating and sustainable food programme for children. Launched in 2021, our Farm to Table team is on a mission to educate one million individuals about healthy sustainable diets by the end of 2023. The programme, currently operating in several public and private schools across the UAE, teaches how food is produced both locally and internationally, showing the food journey from the farm to the dinner table. It includes educational modules, visits to local farms, healthy cooking classes with well-known chefs, inspiring talks with local producers, and visits to our Spinneys Layan store – our first-ever sustainable supermarket.
